Should I accompany relative having breast biopsy?

A very close relative is having a hospital investigation of a breast lump. I'm driving her to the appointment, but wonder if they will let me accompany her if she wants?
Not sure what's involved in scan and biopsy and if it's the kind of thing that allows me to go along. I am a woman, btw.

If imagine you could wait with her and see her afterwards but not go in for the procedure. Ali get what she wants, she might not want you in for the procedures anyway!

First off you need to ask her if she wants you to go in with her. You're not likely to be allowed into the room where the procedure takes place though.

My hospital is back to allowing one person with you in the waiting room, I think that would be fine but check with your hospital first.
