Periods after giving birth - night sweats

WeWereInParis · 28/02/2023 21:40

I gave birth to DD2 10 months ago and my period came back last month.
I noticed before it came back that I had some night sweats, which I didn't realise might be period related until it started a few days later. I'm now 5/6 days away from my next period and having them again. I've never had them before periods before.

Is this a normal thing for some women, and it's just something I have now?
Or is it maybe my periods settling down after coming back and it will go away? Is that a thing that happens - periods (and associated symptoms) being a bit weird when they first return?

I had post natal night sweats, really unpleasant. It's not unusual I believe.

I didn’t have these, sorry. My periods came back at 4 and 3 months, respectively, despite breastfeeding and were regular as clockwork. It may just be one of those things though.

Yes, it's normal. Mine came back at four months and I had night sweats. It's your hormones settling down. It'll go away until the menopause, then they'll come back with a vengeance, if my experience is anything to go by.

Since go into birth 2 years ago! I am now a human furnace during my period. I don't think it's ever going to change now :(

Not just before my period though 🤔🤔
