Help! Can I put green hair dye over bright red?

Obviously not allowed in school.

It was much darker on box but came out like this. They told her she's not allowed back without dying it. No problem

I have some semi permanent green. Would that tone it to brown?

Just long enough to get a proper dye at weekend?

Red + green equals brown. So if there is too much green in the hair, you will just end up neutralizing it, and turning it brown. It will most likely turn brown or muddy, as the red and green will cancel each other out.
