What are your 2023 garden loves/hates?

We are planning a garden makeover this year and I’m itching for spring to come so I can get started! So to get my gardening fix I’m asking everyone’s loves and hates.

I love: Wildlife ponds, colourful flowers set against black/grey fences, outdoor kitchens, herb/veg patches, solar lights and water features.

I don’t love: Fake animals (especially lots of them!) and outdoor mirrors for some reason!

I also particularly like tall plants/flowers that don't block out the light or the view (I have a good view) so I like verbena, (tall purple flowers against the skyline and once they flower they last for months - even through the winter - dead but still standing). Crocosmia lucifer (Very tall crocosmia in an amazing shade of red), tall grasses (Quite a few to choose from, to give height but not block light - not pampas grass though) and other similar things
