I could be crocheting, doing a puzzle or taking an extra dog walk which would all be much better for me

Eat which is why I'm so fat. I really need to find a replacement.

Tiktok, browse MN or FB or Instagram, but mostly read. I'm trying to hit 75 books this year

The things most people are listing are precisely the things that induce boredom:

Slobbing around doom scrolling.

When I'm bored and/or fed up I force myself outside for a walk somewhere pleasant ish. Fresh air, day light and pretty scenery are massive mood improvers.

When it gets really bad I do eventually snap out if it by blitz cleaning, but fortunately it doesn't reach that point often.
