Fiit, Les Mills on Demand or another!?

Im a beginner to weights and classes, but don’t have the ability to get to a gym (none close enough that would be able to store 2yo DS whilst I get my sweat on) so looking at the available fitness apps! I could have a free 30 day trial of both, but wondered if anybody had opinions as to which is better, and also which equipment I would need?

I have a ginormous toddler mat/yoga mat so that’ll be fine as a base. Another point to consider is the fact that I have sky glass (Fiit is an app on this but not Les Mills yet) but I also have a fire stick lurking upstairs that I’ve heard I can get the app on.

Previously I’ve done (at actual classes) Zumba, body attack, HIIT and yoga. I’d be interested in most cardio, light weights - not body building per se but more fitness weights iyswim? also Zumba classes, boxing, most things really!

Please let me know if you have any experience

I have Fiit. Never used the others so can't compare. Lots of choice on length and level. Start on entry level and go from there. All level classes are good too as usually have a hard way and easy way so you can chose.
They also run blocks if classes like base fit to get you started and have a basic program.
There are lots of whizzy classes with bikes and running machines but they are generally for the advanced classes.
I have some dumbbells and do a lot of those classes. I started with 2kg but now on 4/6kg.
I did have the tracker but gave up. I go on how sweaty/achy I get!
Join the fiit Facebook group too if you do that.

They also do yoga and Pilates stuff on there. No Zumba stuff although I did suggest that once to them!

I really like FIIT and may well go back at some stage. Currently really enjoying FitOn which is free (there is also a paid version with additional features). It's not as slick as FIIT in my opinion but I love it! Worth a look.

Seems I’ll give Fiit a go first then! Most of the reviews I’ve found from Les Mills are from a while back so maybe Fiit has overtaken!

Bit late coming to this but just to add I have been using FIIT since Aug 20. I like it and really enjoy the mix of classes available. It works really well for me as I would never go to a gym.

As mentioned above the plans are good - really help me with accountability and motivation. The challenges are sometimes helpful for that too.

They have recently re - introduced the group classes which I like to do sometimes. It's nice to know other people are jumping around at same time. I have a tracker which I like but as said by PP lots of people don't.

I mirror screen to my TV from my phone. Only bug bear is the music isn't as good as it was to start with but on the newer classes there is option to only have trainer audio and then I stream a playlist at same time. The FIIT music is ok but used to play real bangers and think they bumped into some licensing issuers.

FIIT Challengers group on Facebook is good for questions but I've also found FIIT responsive on chat and email if I needed them.

I’ve been doing it since early March (FIIT) - if anyone has sky they are offering a 4 month free trial at the moment which is a huge freebie if you haven’t signed up before!

im really enjoying the plans- got myself a couple of dumbbells (only light 1kg and 2kg to start) and I love the filter feature.

the only thing I’m coming up against is that a couple of trainers are really blurry- almost like I have no internet? It’s not that though as I’ve got super whizzy fibre something that goes 500mbps and some of the trainers are always blurry! (Poor Gede I can’t access)

@TheGirlWhoLived - probably worth contacting FIIT to ask about that. Not something I've experienced or heard about. Or ask on FIIT Challengers

will get on it, thanks… it’s a weird one though - I suspect they won’t believe it’s not my internet connection. Mostly it’s the yoga type ones at the moment which is fine because I just close my eyes and go by sound!
