Irregular heartbeat?

Wide awake with what GP thought might be viral chest infection, been coughing since Thursday.

Heartbeat’s been all over the place in the last hour, I have spoken to 111 who said it’s probably anxiety/because of virus and more than likely harmless/safe to manage at home … but I’ve checked it on my phone … surely that can’t be just anxiety?

(I’ve no idea what those graphs actually mean in reality.)

Hi Op. I used this app. I had regular reports that looked like this. They got worse and worse and I started to get the warnings that I had atrial fibrillation.

Actually writing about it right now is giving me anxiety because it was so scary. I ended up in A and E thinking I was having a heart attack.

I sent my reports to my doctor and they referred me to a cardiologist. I had a 24 hour ECG and a echocardiogram and all was ok.

I deleted the app.

Yours looks like ectopic beats. I wouldn't worry too much at all about that. At worst mine was a hell of a lot crazier than this.

Thanks, yeah I ended up paying the £10 to get a 'doctor report' and its just come back as frequent ectopic beats/non urgent. Don't know if that's reassured me or made me feel worse. Funny I was going to charge off to A&E last night too but managed to convince myself to stay put. I might ring my GP tomorrow just to let them know.

can I also mention, that some of the reports came back as urgent warnings, and then when I sent them to be reviewed it was just "heart rate variation"
So don't panic too much about the app

There's lots of threads on here about ectopic beats and they are reassuring. Most are harmless.
