Firstly, i’m so sorry this is literally the third or so post i’ve put on here over the past 9 months but still can’t decide on what to do!!
I have a matter of days (hours tbh!) to make a final decision.
Had a c section 2 years ago due to baby’s heart rate dropping when started on the drip to intensify the contractions (I now realise that they started that drip too early on).
I now have the option to either book in an elective c section or try for a vaginal delivery.
Vaginal delivery sounds appealing because of the recovery… I will need to rely a lot on others to help me with toddler if I have a c section which isn’t ideal.
However, a lot of people who have had elective c sections have told me how much easier the recovery was when it was planned and not an emergency. Of course you also go into it relatively well rested and do not have to go through the tiring and agonising hours of labour, so mentally I suppose I can see how the recovery might not be as bad as my emergency c section.
Any thoughts / recommendations?!
