Peppers

Are you finding all you can think of to cook involves peppers? It's like not being able to get them has caused my mind to simply think of things with them in! Fajitas, curry, chilli.

Anyway I saw the shops are rationing them I think this will just create another loo roll situation. Make them seem scarce and people will buy 3 when they see them when usually they'd buy 1.

Frozen peppers are good and already chopped.

Yes it's driving me mad. And I haven't been able to buy frozen peppers either.

Jars have gone up in price and aren't great for lots of meals.

We have a bag of frozen peppers. Used them tonight in meatballs. Asda Frozen Peppers

People have cottoned on to the frozen peppers round here too! I think the solution is to forget they exist for a bit and try to think of things without them in, which is usually find but it's like now I know they are hard to get all the recipes need them. I made a nice curry with spinach and mushrooms and onions. Now I might try spag bol.

I haven’t had any problems buying frozen peppers. I swapped before the crisis and have them on the shopping list. I find them much easier to use because they are prechopped. I thought they might be mushy. But they are lovely and firm.

I use them every day. If I don't know what to cook, I chop peppers and red onion then go from there. I've been lucky though. I've been able to find them in every store, though there are obviously fewer.

These are rationed too? I got eggs taken from me because it's 12 eggs per transaction. I explained that I have four children, I'm a foster carer and I childmind. They did not allow me more eggs. My mum (who lives alone) was also allowed to buy 12 eggs. Where's the logic? 😂
