What do they put in them? They're addictive.

Has anyone tried making a version at home?

The pretzels are great.

The croissants with the filling which is a bit like Nutella, I like to have them with strawberries or banana.

The apple turnover is also nice

We each had a toffee filled yum yum the other day from there it was okay, a bit sweet for my taste.

I don't mind the pizzas.

Don't go there often, but when we do we always pick up something for lunch or a treat.

The chocolate doughnuts.. and pretzels... pizzas too obvs!

HiccupHorrendousHaddock · 27/02/2023 15:31

I've never tried the pizzas - I am definitely going to do so this week! The custard tarts are lush. I can't resist them.

justmewithmylifetoday · 27/02/2023 15:33

Never tried Lidl brownies. Which ones are these? Share other recommendations please!

Emmamoo89 · 27/02/2023 15:34

Going to give the pizzas a try!

I've never tried these. Making a mental note to snaffle a couple the next time I'm in a Lidl.

TangledUpInDreams · 27/02/2023 15:35

Their pretzel rolls are like crack to me.

Also really like the custard tarts.

OhNoNotThatAgain · 27/02/2023 15:41

Lidl bakery is ace. That is all.

Oooooh, chocolate doughnuts are delicious, I agree.

I am tempted to buy brownies now, if I find some.

newtb · 27/02/2023 15:44

They used to do a ring doughnut stuffed with chocolate, bit like Nutella, covered with fudgy toffee icing and chopped nuts. Stopped about 5 years ago.

Gilead · 27/02/2023 15:44

Their croissants are twice the size and half the price of anywhere else and are fabulous!

xogossipgirlxo · 27/02/2023 15:57

Oh dear god, I want it all now

MissHoneysHappyEnding · 27/02/2023 16:05

Also the Christmas muffins, both biscoff spread and chocolate orange

ClaraThePigeon · 27/02/2023 16:11

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I didn't know that they do Christmas muffins.

I don't like shopping in Lidl as much as Aldi, but the bakery aisle calls to me and I just can't resist going in there for a treat. I wish that Aldi would open a bakery too.

Oh yes they’re so good!

The toffee yum yums used to be great but lately they’re rubbish with hardly any toffee. But the almond croissants are so so lush.

Augend23 · 27/02/2023 16:12

They have switched the goats cheese out for mozzarella near me :( and they are not as good as they were.

CaptainHammer · 27/02/2023 16:17

Their cheese loaf 👌🏼

teaandakitkat · 27/02/2023 16:18

I like the low gi bread. Kids love the mini pizzas. And the chocolate twists. In fact I've liked everything I've ever bought from the bakery.

I have no idea if the bread is low in gi or what that even means, but for me it's got exactly the right texture. Makes the best toast.

gogohmm · 27/02/2023 16:22

It wouldn't be good for my waistline but i could live on lidl bakery items Grin

gogohmm · 27/02/2023 16:24

We have the sourdough bakery bread regularly
