Paris hotel recommendations

Hi all. Looking to stay in Paris for 3 nights once DD has finished her GCSE's so end of June. Any recommendations for a fairly central hotel for the usual sight seeing, shopping etc? It's just the 2 of us and looking at a budget of around £400.
TIA!!

Hi there, I stayed here a few years ago and loved the location hotel-paris-bosquet.com

You could always find a little hotel near Gard du Nord if you’re coming in on Eurostar - so easy to jump on the Metro straight into centre.

I stayed in a lovely little hotel just off the Champs Élysées but can’t remember it’s name now….a little 3 star somewhere near Avenue Victor Hugo I think.

I used to live in Paris. Gare Nord may be convenient for the train but it is not the nicest or safest part of Paris. There are nicer parts such as The Marais and the islands which are far pleasanter and you can walk to a nice restaurant in the evening. I'm assuming you will have been out and about all day, so may want to avoid the Metro when heading off for dinner at night.

As for hotels, feel free to drop me a PM with a little more detail of what exactly you are looking for.
