Cleaning white pumps

OK. I know white trainers are so 'last season' but I love mine and intend to continue wearing them.

I have three leather pairs: 1 x moda in pelle, 1 x converse and 1 x superga.

But despite my best effort to clean and use whitener they look awful, especially around the laces where the rubbing makes black marks.

I've tried bicarb, soapy water and white pump polish. But doesn't really do the job.

Any advice please?

I do my white McQueens with either CrepProtect or Jason Markk. They both work pretty much the same way. I prefer the scent of Crep but I think Jason Markk is slightly more effective (although it's also more expensive).

I've also found that the (white) laces start to get greyish marks on them whatever you do. So I just buy replacement laces every so often.

rubber/eraser will rub off obious black marks.
playdough as well.

magic erasers are fantastic for white trainers, cheap as chips. Also I find replacing laces really refreshes them
