We are going first week in April.
Staying in taurito near mogan.
At the minute the temps are around 22 /23 degrees
Do you think first week April will be warm enough for a bikini ?

usually yes, although depends what you consider warm enough. I’ve been in a swimsuit in the Canary Islands in 24C lots of times and been warm enough.

We've literally just got back from there (went for half term)

I was in a bikini. It's weird the weather apps were all saying it was like 15 degrees and cloudy but it wasn't! It was bright sunshine, around 20+ degrees and really nice. It got a bit cooler in the evening so you needed a cardigan or light hoodie, but not cold at all.

By the pool it was glorious. So nice and warm but not uncomfortably hot.

I've been to Taurito a few times. WE have been in October and was definitely warm enough for a bikini then.

Oh fab I was a bit worried it might not be warm enough.
Gonna pack a denim jacket for the nights.

We had a nice holiday in taurito. Which hotel are you in?

loopdeloopss · 27/02/2023 12:36

@Twizbe we are staying in the taurito princess
It was toss up between that one and the blu suite princess

My son was obsessed with that hotel and it's lifts lol. He was watching them go up and down all the time.

It looked like a nice hotel. We were staying next door at the Valle.

@Twizbe ha ha ha
Is there much to do in the area?
I know it's a small resort
We normally going to Maspalomas (well 4 years ago but in summer )

it can be a bit windy. Bikini should be fine, but I’d pack a cover up too just in case

mollibu · 27/02/2023 13:08

Different but still the canaries- I'm currently laying on a sunbed in Tenerife at 22 degrees in a bikini and it is BAKING! Feels so much hotter than 22.

So I can imagine Gran Canaria in April will be better weather- definitely bikini weather for sure!

Lapland123 · 27/02/2023 13:10

Definitely! Was there for half term- lovely and warm. Cardigan I evenings

Twizbe · 27/02/2023 13:13

Our kids are 6 and 4 so we spent most of the time by the pool.

Our hotel included entrance to the water park. We spent 2 mornings there. The water is cold lol.

There are regular buses to puerto mogan and Puerto Rico if you want a day out.

The little beach was nice. Big enough to not be crowded and small enough to let the kids play.

Fab Thankyou all
So excited
We only booked last week
Managed to get flights for £76 return so over the moon
Booked everything separately and saved £600 compared to tui prices
