Macbook screen repair

Anyone had it done lately? How much I should expect to pay? Trying to minimise the shock.

My F* cat, out of the blue, jumped on me while I was lying on the sofa with the laptop on my lap and bit the corner of the screen, I quickly removed him but it was too late:( There is a small crack and the computer is turning on but the screen display nothing.

I’m so angry. I’m super careful with my things, never had a cracked screen before, not even on my phone.

And now also need to find time to take the machine to repair / collect etc, all during working hours, what a pita.

Try iSmash. Prices should be in their website. I had iPhone screens replaced by them. Price was fair and service good.

I had mine done in September last year and it was £429 with apple. I found them to be marginally cheaper than other places and it came with a warranty.
You can also get a courier service for it so you don't have to go in & out the store once it's been fixed.

booked with apple this afternoon, the bite mark is so tiny but the screen will not work:(

I don’t know why I bother with apple, a cheap laptop screen would not get damaged like that

also I don’t understand how ppl can still use shattered phone screens but the laptop couldn’t take a little scratch?

Apple initially quoted me 650 + 80 secure courier both ways - bearing in mind it could be more and it would take 2 weeks minimum😬

The apple guy then reccomended me an independent shop - 380 ready in two days!

Since my laptop is unusable atm I went with the independent guy and will pay upon collection providing all is good
