Hey everyone
I have applied for 3 passports today

1 adult renewal being sent to Bootle

1 child renewal waiting for my friend to verify

1 child brand new passport waiting for my friend to also verify

If anyone has applied recently - how quickly have passports been coming back?

1 adult renewal, took less than 2 weeks - got it back last week from Liverpool.

South East here, adult renewal, did mine this year - two weeks after the day I received confirmation they had received my old one. Online application.

LittleBearPad · 26/02/2023 22:44

10 days. I was stunned!

Same here - quite swift. Actually took another fortnight for old one to be returned

Child to adult passport took 4 days - absolutely stunned and very pleased!

Adult at similar time was a week.

Have done 3 recently, and one more to go.

2 got sent to Bootle - one adult renewal and one child renewal. Got them back 12 days after they received my documents.

One adult renewal got sent to Newport. I’m still waiting on that one. They received documents on 6th February. That one is a first adult passport for my dd with SN, with no capacity to apply herself/sign for herself, and I’m not sure if that is why it has taken a bit longer (verifying info, checking reference etc). It has been approved, but not got new one back yet.

exH has just renewed his too, and he sent his to Newport, and it took just over 3 weeks. Not sure if it’s that the Newport office is slower (given dd’s took longer from there too), although his is a slightly complicated application too, so it could be just that those two take longer to process

will be posting last one to Bootle tomorrow, and hopefully it’ll be quick too.

Two weeks! I was impressed.

YerAWizardHarry · 26/02/2023 22:54

12 days from online application and having it in my hands

Kiitos · 26/02/2023 22:54

Not applied for one but I co-signed one for a friend and it got rejected. No idea why. I’ve signed several over the years with no issues.

I was absolutely amazed!

Oh I'm feeling better now as we'd like to go away in the Easter holidays! 6-7 weeks away so hopefully they'll be back by then!
