Help! So worried about toddler poo!

Hi everyone!
Possibly TMI but I'm so worried about my toddlers poo. She is 2 (+ 4 months) and for the last 2 weeks her poo has been gross. It was diarreah for about a week and then it returned to normal for a couple of days... The last 2 days has been bad again - sometimes diarreah and some just very soft (with a little bit or mucus in it). She normally does one a day.... now it's 2 or 3. They smell very stinky too!!
Just so worried something is wrong... she's totally fine otherwise so I don't know if I'm worrying about nothing. I feel I am ALWAYS at the docs and always overreacting. Thanks in advance!

Could be toddler diarrhoea. But a trip to the doctor's could reassure you.

Some good information here: www.bbuk.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Understanding-Toddler-Diarrhoea.pdf

My 2y 3m old has always had poos on the softer and stinkier side, with no other symptoms. He's had stool tests and blood tests but it's just one of those things. Definitely worth seeing GP to be on the safe side though.

Thanks everyone for your replies.... I actually dreamt about it last night so definitely thought it was time to phone the doctor this morning! 😅 She is phoning me back before 12pm. Thanks for all your replies!

When my then toddler ds had similar we eventually tracked it down to a food intolerance (it was wheat - though oddly, not gluten). He grew out of it after a few years, and it never made him ill, it was just a nuisance)

Of course absolutely not necessarily the case for your dd but something to consider if nothing else explains it.

Another thing to check is intake of sorbitol (sweetener). Many people find it very laxative.

Thank you! I'm happy to get any advice / ideas. I spoke to the doctor this morning who isn't concerned... She thinks it is pointing to Toddler Diarreah but I've to hand in a sample just to check it out (nice)! Hoping it's not an intolerance 🙏
Thanks again for replying everyone!
