I'd like to take my dad for a nice dinner for his 75th. There will be 15 of us so need somewhere with space but that does good food and is a nice venue too. Anyone have any ideas?

Can be anywhere within ten miles ish

Leonardslee do an amazing afternoon tea and also have a restaurant which I think has a Michelin star.

Probably a bit pricey but a beautiful location and you can see the wallabies while you're there 😊

There is loads in Horsham and surrounding areas. It all depends on your budget and the type of food you are looking for. e.g. South Lodge is lovely and expensive but opposite is The Crabtree pub which also has lovely food and I think does a room for groups.

Bolney wine estate restaurant is great, 20 mins drive from Horsham and good parking etc

Ridgeview wine estate in Ditchling and South Lodge both superb and Crabtree also superb

What’s your budget op? This will be key

if you want something special then try restaurant interlude, but it is pricey.

Probably not the top end actually. £20 for a main would work

I've looked at Bolney, looks nice but not many choices and we have a couple of fussy teens with us. Crabtree also looks nice

The Black Jug is a lovely pub in the town centre.

Chequers inn in Rowhook is lovely. And has a wide ranging menu.

I was just about to recommend this. It's a gorgeous old pub with lots of character and great food.
