When are school Oct holidays?

Hoping to take our DC to london in Oct. Was wondering roughly when the school holidays are this year - I know they’ll vary by region but roughly? Ideally want to avoid the really busy times (if possible!)

W/C 30th October in the West Midlands. I work with people across the country and most seem to have the week before. There's loads on here that have 2 weeks, which I've never personally come across.

Our local school is much earlier but my two aren’t at that stage yet and I was wondering for general feel as assume London be busy with families on holiday as well as locals in Oct and wanted to reduce likelihood of us being there in the “main rush”. Seems our dates of earlier in Oct should work okay. Thanks

Ours is 23rd Oct - 3rd Nov (Yorkshire)

We're wc 23rd Oct (North West) but West Mids are always a week later wc 30th.

We're Greater Mcr and it's WC 23rd for us (just the one week).

Hope you manage to find the best time to go. We did London in early Sept, just before the kids go back, and it was noticeably better (still a busy city, of course).

West London and SW London - w/c 23rd Oct.

We've had schools in the same authority having different half terms just now, so I wouldn't bank on general information. Most schools publish the following year's holidays on their website for that very reason, not clear whether you have checked that? If not, phone the school and ask?
