For anyone who enjoys taking part in the annual RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch: you might be interested in the BTO (British Trust for Ornithology) Garden Birdwatch project. It involves recording all the birds you spot in your garden each week Sun - Sat and then inputting the week's findings online. I find it more satisfying than the RSPB one hour count, when inevitably all the most unusual birds go into hiding and miss the count! We discovered it recently and find it less intensive as you can just keep recording what you see whenever you tend to look out at the garden.

The website is really interesting with lots of other nature projects going on too.
