Help me choose a new mecrowavey

As the title suggests, need a new microwave, we do use it a lot. Have looked and as well as the bog standard there's microwave grills and microwave grill/convection ovens.

Toying with the idea of something fancier if they're actually good and might save me on gas?

Anyone got one and love them/hate them?

I recently got a Sharp micro/grill/convection one. It was on sale at AO so worked out at being not that much more than the basic microwave I was replacing.

I haven't used the grill at all, but the convection oven is massively cheaper to use than my normal oven.

Interesting! Is your regular oven gas?

No, mine is electric, which made it easy to do a direct cost comparison for energy consumption.
