Classic Narc behaviour?

I read on here sometimes about narcissistic people and their entitled behaviour or the pressure they can put you under as children to comply with their needs. But what would be the classic narc response if you were to take the piss out of them? Somehow I can't imagine them going off to sulk? So fighting back perhaps?

Thinking of my (adult) sister….storming upstairs, slamming her door and very loudly attention-seeking crying that everyone can hear. She did this as a child too.

I think I've only ever met one narcissist, in my teens, and she really seemed to need total adulation. She was quite good looking but assumed everybody was in love with her, including my (then) boyfriend. When he took the piss out of her she was absolutely furious and told me to get out of her way (we were sitting around a pub table and she was kind of trapped in a window seat). This is a bit weird but I'll never forget her eyes; they'd gone black as if there was no iris, just pupil and I honestly felt a bit of fear. It's the only time I've seen pure rage.

Well, the covert narc I know would sulk and probably "punish" someone, most likely sil, for any of that sort of behaviour.
