Teacher world book day costume sos

I've done all my planning for world book day.. hyped the class up and kitted out my own children. And then it happened. It suddenly dawned on me that I haven't planned a flipping costume for me!

I have a white long sleeved long midi dress in my wardrobe (only long because I'm short) anything I can do with that? I desperately need inspiration. My brain has quit and I really don't want to buy anything after forking out £40 for a Luke skywalker costume for DS (yes I know it's not a book but he's excited and those years are numbered in ks2!)

FT working mum but love WBD and other dress-up events. I am handy with a sewing machine which helps but it really doesn’t take much effort. Facepaint is brilliant. Prefer not to buy readymade costumes so use bits I pick up second-hand from charity shop or marketplace.

The year I was heavily pregnant I did this and was 6 dinner Sid after all 6 dinners 😆

Do you have long dark hair? Braids ,all in black, Wednesday Addams .

Or if you have a yellow raincoat, jeans,boots, coat and a crossbody bag and you're Coraline (with or without the blue wig). That was my go to for a few years in a row.

Last year I bought a blow up dinosaur costume from Amazon so I'll be wearing that again 😂😂😂

Best staff WBD costume I ever saw was Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Complete with glass of milk.

That was secondary school though...

I once went at moaning myrtle and wore a (new and unused!!!) toilet seat around my head
