Has anyone done a classroom assistant qualification, if so how difficult is it and what does it entail ?

I did a level 3 Teaching Assistant course around 6 years ago.

Oh thank you both. @daisydoods it doesn't mention (from what I can see) entry qualifications- do you need GCSEs?

Hi, you will need a grade C/4 for both English and maths for employment, but can achieve these after your TA qual in most places, or even at the same time depending on your flexibility

For level 3 you need level 2 passes in English and Maths , normally gcse but possibly Functional skills would count as equivalent.

If you don't have Maths and/or English at the required grade, take a look at your local college. Ours does free level 2 (GCSE) Maths and English qualifications if you don't already have a C or grade 4.
