Help me find a Mumsnet-approved car

Noting the dislike of SUVs and 4x4s on here, and wanting to also have a petrol car which is as economical as possible, can I ask for suggestions?

The car is used mainly by me, but occasionally DH and a muddy spaniel too.

We live in a rural area: narrow roads which are not gritted when it snows, they are currently very muddy and potholed. I have had my car in for repair twice since December because of pothole damage.

My commute is a mix of rural roads and motorway. I do around 10,000 miles a year.

Currently have a Ford Focus. I've had two of these now, the Mk 1 and the Mk3. I think this model is on a downward trajectory, though, so not keen to have another. I do reaaallly like the heated windscreen though, so a car which has this would be great.

I quite like DH's Audi A3 but no heated windscreen and the suspension is quite hard.

Any suggestions, please, vipers?

Oh, and it can't be something that's too difficult for my elderly parents to get in and out of!
