Do your trees and bushes have any buds or leaves yet ?

West Yorkshire. I noticed part of a hedgerow starting to turn green yesterday as I drove past. Seems a few weeks early but I'm not complaining😊. We've had the crocuses in flower for about a fortnight now and the daffodils are also up and coming.

With apologies to those who dislike spring and summer.

MrsSkylerWhite · 25/02/2023 11:18

Bulbs are up, the witch hazel has been in full bloom for a while and the magnolia is coming on. Lots of small new green leaves on shrubs!

WeCome1 · 25/02/2023 11:53

Yes, I noticed tiny leaves on the shrubby thing we have lots of that I dislike. Potentilla.

My pear, plum and apple trees have tiny buds, so has the lilac and magnolia. I’m in Wiltshire.

Corsica2023 · 25/02/2023 12:13

The camellias are late though.

Lonelycrab · 25/02/2023 12:25

North Hampshire, surrounded by oaks. They only finished dropping leaves in December, leaves out by end of May.

Just had a look and there’s bugger all going on at the mo.

prampushingdownthehighst · 25/02/2023 12:40

Camelia started flowering on Tuesday, it's a beauty
Lots of snowdrops and crocuses but no daffs yet
I do love the spring
South West

I also noticed the rose bushes in our communal garden are coming into leaf. Next will be the two big cherry trees on the grass verge - cue hay fever and wood pigeon central! The white blossom in early April is quite stunning and my tablets thankfully keep HF under control.

yes! went out this morning to hard prune the group 3 clematis, which is starting to bud. Noticed that the acers are in bud, and the honeysuckle has some fresh shoots. Dwarf narcissi in the front garden can't be more than a couple of weeks from blooming.

CoorieInByTheFire · 25/02/2023 21:41

Crocuses and daffodils out, leaf buds on privet, leaves out on hydrangeas. Glasgow. It’s been lovely the past few days, very spring like.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 25/02/2023 21:46

Damson tree in the garden has very small buds, a tree down the road is in blossom and daffodils are out on the verges. And I found some lovely hellebores in the riverside gardens.

RampantIvy · 25/02/2023 21:48

South Yorkshire. A few buds. My camellia is covered in flowers.

WildRosie · 25/02/2023 21:53

This is the cherry blossom we get every year. The cherries themselves aren't that big and probably not even edible for us humans. But the wood pigeons love them.

Yes I have a blossom tree that every year blooms in April. Closely followed by cherry blossom in May. Yesterday I said to DH that tree is in bloom 2 full month's early. I looked closely at cherry blossom tree and can already see small buds forming. I'd say if weather remains mild it might be in bloom in 2 or 3 weeks.
