How do I get butter stains out of clothing?

Help! Ds has dropped butter (well olive spread to be more precise) on his brand new light coloured hoodie.
I've covered it in baking soda but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
Any ideas? I am going to the shops in a bit so can buy something e.g a stain remover if they are any good.

Elbow grease spray works well.

Chalk is meant to be the thing because it absorbs the fat.
