What do you want from your child’s stepparent?

Specifically the stepparent who is your long term partner or spouse?

I see a lot of stepparent posts where the stepparent is finding it hard for one reason or another. Totally understandable, it’s not an easy role to have!

What do you, as the natural parent of your child, want from your spouse/partner? Is there something you wish they would do/stop doing in relation to your kids?

I have two SCs and we also have a baby together, so I’m always keen to hear the thoughts of others in what works for them. ☺️

I don't know my DCs SM well, but she will sometimes be there when I drop them off and she seems lovely. Occasionally she will pop up during their video chats with ExH and she is kind and interested in them. They seem to really like her and that is all that matters to me.
