So I purchased a pretty navy blue dress for my boyfriends ex step daughters wedding. His ex wife is the mother of the bride. I found out her dress is navy blue that she picked out. The dresses don’t look similar as someone sent me a pic. I personally wouldn’t care if the roles were reversed. Not sure if she will care, but I love my dress. Do you think it’s fine to wear it ?

I imagine there will be more than one other person in navy, or any other colour. I can't see how it would matter OP, and would just wear it regardless and enjoy the day.

Yeah go for it, navy I'd a popular wedding guest colour, I can't imagine you two will be the only people in navy.

Navy is a popular choice for weddings, you won't have the same accessories.

Unless you are planning to wear a huge fascinator Cape jacket I wouldn't worry too much, about upstanding the MOB
