Miscarriage and trying again... Unsure when to take pregnancy test.

Hi
I had a miscarriage on 31 January if was very traumatic I had a empty sac measuring 11 weeks. I ended up having this in hospital because I went to have medical management and ended up having the whole miscarriage on the ward whilst I was there, talk about timing. I bled for a few days after and took a pregnancy test and got a negative on 9th Feb.
Once I got the negative me and his and have been trying again but now I am unsure if I have even ovulate since then and I don't even know when my period is going to be to even take a pregnancy test. I took one today and its a negative.
I am just so confused when would I need to take a pregnancy test?
Thanks all for reading.

I’m so sorry about your miscarriage, hope you’re doing ok.

I wouldn’t think you’d have ovulated yet, your body will no doubt take a little while to get back into its usual rhythm. Take a month or 2 then maybe see how you feel going forwards.

Can you buy the cheap ovulation sticks to help indicate? Will find a link.

These were good for me

Pack of 60 x Ovaview Sensitive Ovulation/Fertility Tests Kit - 25mlU/ml (Extra Wide Width) https://amzn.eu/d/8DE52KK

And I would suggest these

200 Pcs Plastic Disposable Urine... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B083LKGVPN?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare

I would also suggest the CB Ovulation stick but it's more money, maybe once you know you've started ovulating again. You can get it and read instructions to ensure you do it correctly (start on the day they say, and only once a day at the same time as it has memory of your levels and it fucked me up that way!)

In the end I used both ovulation tests together to get a safer, correct indication. Had three quick pregnancies that way (although I seem to have been pretty fertile as I originally got pregnant almost straight away without any tracking before the subsequent three pregnancies)

Okay thank you so much I feel OK but sometimes have bad days.
I didn't know that I thought it can take 2 weeks to start ovulating again. I see so many people say they end up getting pregnant bedofe they have a period but I suppose everyone is different.

Thanks so much I will get some.
I suppose I would have to wait for my period before I look at seeing when I ovulate because I am so clueless of when my period may come and when I will ovulate. I read that u can ovulate 2 weeks after a miscarriage. But maybe it depends on your body

It’s like when contraception is stopped, you can get pregnant straight away, but many don’t. It can take a little while for the body to settle down.

I would also add, I had an MMC with surgical management with my first, so I've been there. I also had an early MC with my second but third straight from that was perfect (still I'd, sometimes) and my fourth is now a newborn so please don't lose hope.

I took ages to ovulate. After a month I pushed and found I needed more surgery as part had been missed. Then I took several months for a period. It was painful.
I bought the ovulation tests so that I knew when my body returned to normal after the second D&C. The cheap ones are good (please be aware you will always get a faint line, as they detect a hormone which is always there, it just rises and peaks about a day before you ovulate).

Also look up the SMEP. It's about having sec every other day as soon as your period stops, then every day when you get a positive ovulation test until a certain amount of days after (we did about a week after just to be sure as egg release can be a day or maybe two after the LH peak on test).

I also temped and mapped my testing morning temp on a graph.

I really got into it with my first child!

Good luck OP! It becomes a slight addiction/obsession! (Not gonna lie, I weirdly miss it)
