Detergent for washing Modibodi

Invested a lot in Modibodi last year when my dd started her period. She is really happy with them but some seem to leak, especially the 24 hr ones I bought for overnight. They may just be a bit too big, but I'm also concerned I may have used the wrong detergent. I knew that I shouldn't use fabric conditioner, and I had a look on the Modibodi website to see if they recommended any particular detergents or ingredients, and saw that it also said avoid stain remover. I've been using Fairy non-bio, but I think that has stain remover and not suitable for wool. So can anyone suggest any that they find don't damage the absorbany?

I just use whatever powder I have - a mix of fairy/persil/own brand non bios and I haven’t had any absorbency problems with mine. They must’ve been through a good 15ish periods/washes by now so I wonder if it is the sizing that’s the issue with your DD’s rather than your wash?

Could try liquid soap. Usually in wilko at £3. It's liquid soap for laundry. No smell, bleach etc

Ariel has never damaged the pants my dds have - and we have had several pairs for a few years.

Similarly I’ve had for 3 years and washed with several different detergents and never had a problem. Sounds like it is the size.

Thanks, glad it sounds like I can just get something fairly ordinary.

I just chuck them in with other clothes. Cold wash with Aldi detergent. No problems with stains or leaks .
