In my youth I experienced the attitude from men that they would shag anything with a pulse

Now older and wiser and that has changed (not unexpectedly) but they shun me? A platonic coffee isn't even acceptable. Am I expecting too much from someone Iperceived at least as a friend ?

Can you explain exactly what the situation is? if the person you want to meet is a friend, what has sexual attraction got to do with it? if it’s a date it isn’t platonic, even if you aren’t actually shagging them.
