Inspired by the current sad songs thread - there was a song out a few years ago by a young, Black, British artist. The general gist of the song was that he hoped someone that he loved but who was no longer in his life was ok and happy. I thought it was incredibly moving and I read somewhere that it was inspired by an absent parent - so that broke my heart even more. But I am terrible at knowing the names of songs or remember any artists post 1999. I am hoping someone much cooler and with a better memory than me will know what the hell I'm on about.
