Evri Delivery

Hi
I have a parcel out for delivery with Evri. I got an email this morning confirming that the parcel will be delivered between 2:30pm and 4.30pm today. However, I received an email at 1.45 stating that 'There is a delay with the delivery of your parcel. Don’t worry, we will send you a message on Thursday 23 February regarding your delivery'. I went onto the tracking which stated:
'We’re sorry we’re not able to deliver your parcel today, but we will deliver it on the next working day'.
Does anyone know if this means that Evri attempted to deliver but failed, or if the parcel is just delayed for some reason?
I've tried to make contact with them to ask the question, but no success.

Had this loads with Evri, normally turns up in the next day or 2. But saying that been waiting 4 days for a parcel from Next and just got a message from Next this morning saying that my parcel should have been delivered by now & if I still needed the items I should re-order! So not sure what to suggest, you can't contact them either!

I’ve had messages like this, usually later on in the day though so I’ve assumed they’ve run out of time or hit traffic, they have been delivered the next day.

For you to have been sent that so early maybe there’s an incident or they’ve had a breakdown or something?

Sorry meant to add, it normally means they didn't attempt delivery and it's delayed

I've had this 3 times. 1st time they had lost it and company resent a new item via royal mail. 2nd time the parcel arrived 6 weeks late (3 weeks after Christmas which was really annoying, we had cancelled that order just after Christmas due to non delivery and it randomly turned up one day). 3rd time I found their online chat bot - not that easy - and gave details of the parcel contents. It turned up 2 days later, I don't know if that was a coincidence or not.

I think its usually when they've scheduled you for someone's round but they've put too much on so its then delayed to the next day

I should have said that the address they are delivering to is a company address who are based in Canterbury city centre and I'm worried that they will not be able to find it. If this is the case, do you know if they will add this to the tracking?

Yes there's a separate tracking message for if they couldn't find you or if they attempted and someone wasn't in

It usually means the courier’s been held up, if it was a house they could just stay out later, but if it’s a business address they’ve probably thought... yeah I’m not getting there before half 5, so it’ll need to be another day.

When that happened to me they had lost it! They then sent a replacement out again with evri. Supposed to be next day delivery and I had same message. My heart sank as it was a Christmas present. It did turn up next day.

The one they lost also turned up about 2 weeks later 😆

I've had this happen and it still come that same day... but this was getting delivered to a parcel shop rather than my home address.
