Any Optometrists around? Quick Q

I just had my eye test done and the prescription is the same for both eyes, the only thing that differs is the Axis figure (95 right, 30 left)

I'm so confused by it because my eyes have a notable difference, I was able to read a smaller line with my left eye than my right, but the prescription doesn't seem to reflect that. I have not got my old one available to see what it said but I'm sure it wasn't the same.

Just wondered, because I know nothing about reading prescriptions, if this could be normal for such a variation in sight?

Not an Optom, I’m a Dispensing Optician.

But yes it can be normal to have the same or very similar prescription in each eye but the visual acuity be different

The left eye would be slightly blurrier than the right due to the axis being more oblique - it would blur both horizontal and vertical lines, rather than one more than the other.

see how your glasses are when you get them.

Fabulous, thank you. I am sure they will probably be fine, just me being anxious as usually when I don't understand something!!
