GPs - Systmonline

I find the GPs easier these days because you can access them e.g. by messaging with Systmonline, make appts for phone calls back etc and view your medical record and request prescriptions etc.

However all I read on here are complaints about GPs.

Does anyone else find it's better these days? Or is it just me?

I work in the medical profession. I have heard of this before. Yet I still read it and tried to pronounce it as if it were the name of a drug 😂. Sorry I have nothing useful to say!

It makes life easier especially if you need repeat prescriptions etc, I think,

I can use it for repeat prescriptions, but nothing else - can't make appointments via it, can't look at test results, can't email the practice etc. It really depends how your practice has set it up as to whether it's useful or not!

Ours is called ask my GP. You put what your problem is and you will get a call back. I prefer it because sometimes there is no need for me to go to the surgery but if I do they give me an appointment.

That's interesting I wonder why they haven't set up some functions on it.

We can't email the practice via it either - although I see it has a 'messages' function.

However the practice has an email address for enquiries and another just for appointments.

You can also use systmonline to ask for custom prescriptions as well as repeats and they answer this quickly I find.

Sounds useful.

There is also the NHS app and think you can make appts and order repeat prescriptions on there. You can also view your record if it is set up for that.
