How old do you feel?

Someone I met today told me I look to be in my mid 30's (think this might have been the zoom app msking me look younger!)

I often feel about 80 when I wake ip in the morning.

Other times I still think in my head that I'm about 28.

In truth I'm 47 and slightly concerned about the big 50 looming 😱

47 here as well OP. I still feel pretty young at heart and often get told I look younger but I'm often in bed at 9pm these days exhausted and creak when I sit down and stand up.

I am 55 and most days feel that and more.

I reckon I look my age

  1. I think I look my age. Most days I do feel it - not just physically (noticing perimenopause symptoms starting, and just dog tired with two young children) but also mentally. I have some 30 year old colleagues and they seem SO young to me. I feel like such a different person to them.

53, often feel 75. Menopause & covid have robbed me

I’m early 40s and I feel older most days with the pressures of work and kids. I think kids age you, lack of sleep and caring for them.

I'm 30 this year and I still feel like I'm in my early 20s but then the realisation sets in job/mortgage/children

xJoy · 22/02/2023 13:40

i fee 52!
Not ancient, but not able for the workouts I used to be able for.

EmmaEmerald · 22/02/2023 13:41

46
lot of change since mum's last hospital admission in November - or is that coincidence? Also lockdown.

used to feel very bouncy and healthy, better than in my 20s and 30s because I was working such long hours then

now I feel very low and my skin is getting crepey and weird. My hands look much older than my face. If I carry heavy shopping, I feel it.

42 and look it, some days more than others. Don’t feel less young or dress much differently to when I was thirty but notice my age most in how people treat me, ie. senora’d constantly the last time I was in Spain but didn’t a couple of years ago. Also surprised every time I hear people talk about forties as Middle Aged. I mean, I might very well not make it to eighty given my genes but I always sort of thought ‘middle aged’ was a bit older than early forties, say 50+
Maybe I’m in denial 😂

HRT has helped me with moods, dizziness & aches.

🤣 yes it keeps dawning on me lately that this is the second half & I should really get fit for it! Getting old is not for the faint hearted, as they say 🙈
