London - Saturday

Myself and husband have a child free day in London on Saturday. I’m struggling with ideas on what to do.

We’ve done all the major tourist attractions so need something a little obscure.

Any ideas?

National gallery / National portrait gallery, mooch around Chinatown and soho, tube up to Fenchurch street or similar and take in views of river, go to St Dunstans in the East (beautiful church ruins) go up to the Sky Garden on the Walky talky building (the Fenchurch building) - amazing views and it's free (you have to book online though). You can also get some amazing super cheap walks / treasure hunts online - I think the bests ones are Borough / SE1 based as there's so much Dickensian history around there.

Can you tell I'm jealous?

Sky garden was all booked up! I do fancy a walking tour…maybe a Jack the Ripper one!

We did it a month or so ago and loved it!

it’s a bit like an escape room/treasure hunt in the streets of London utilising real life people/locations/street furniture.

We did the hunt for the Cheshire Cat but there are other games in other locations.

A walk down the canals from kings cross to Camden or even further. If it was me I would do this then book a nice restaurant near Little Venice, Camden or even try and get a table at Odettes at short notice.
Nice restaurants now exist in King's Cross too
