My sons both started new schools today as we’ve just moved to the U.K. for a year. My younger one came home and from what I can gather, it’s ok, not great, but generally not too bad.
My older one though (12) - my god, we’ve had tears, he doesn’t feel like he has anything in common with anyone, he said the changing room for sport was like a mad house with everyone jostling and pushing, he’s dreading going back. Nightmare! I know it’s only first day issues and I’m sure he’ll settle into it but I feel so bad for him.
All I can say is that he’ll settle in soon and sympathise with him, but I wish I could make it better for him.
Any stories to make me feel better about how kids hated school at first and then ended up loving it? He did like the lessons at least 😞
