On the soundtrack from a 90s Danish movie but it feels SO familiar. The comments suggest that the songs used were written specifically for the movie, but it's definitely based on another 'actual' song, isn't it? I've had music mad DH and DS1 trying to place it, DH agrees he feels like he knows it but neither of us can pin down exactly what we're thinking of, it's been driving me mad all weekend!

I can't think of an exact song but it's reminiscent of T. Rex for me. I'm far from being an expert though.

Definitely v glam rock. What about “spirit in the sky”?

Yes spirit in the sky. Same drum groove, guitars are very similar too. Different chord progression but lots of similarities.

For me it's a bit like Alvin Stardust and a bit of Marc Bolan. Also, I hate to say, Gary Glitter.

Newwardrobe · 20/02/2023 09:21

@NashvilleQueen same here . Alvin Stardust's Coo Ca Choo

Whataretheodds · 20/02/2023 09:46

Yes quite t-rexxy for me - telegram sam or get it on.

GinasGirl · 20/02/2023 10:55

The very beginning notes reminded me of 'Two Princes' by the Spin Doctors.

CharlotteFlax · 20/02/2023 10:59

Also sounds a bit like Blockbuster by Sweet

Blossomandbee · 20/02/2023 11:33

Reminds me of a cross between Get It On and Hot Love by T Rex. It sounds like a lot of 70s glam rock songs to be honest
