What did I watch last night? BAFTAS

I'm confused! Turned on bbc1 last night and it was mid way through the BAFTAS. Was sort of interested so decided to watch it from the start.

Opened iPlayer and BAFTAS was on the Home Screen so I selected watch from the start. Skipped through red carpet bits and started watching.

Found Rebel Wilson completely annoying and unfunny and saw some of the awards.

I looked on Twitter to see if it was just me that found her totally rubbish but no mention of her at all. Lots of comments about Alison Hammond

And Mumsnet talking Alison Hammond too. And interviews. But I didn't see it swing to any post or pre awards interviews with her?

I eventually fell asleep so didn't watch loads but I didn't see the Alison Hammond interviews-were they on red button or somewhere else? And was Richard E Grant doing red carpet interviews? Why did no one else mention how awful Rebel Wilson was? What is happening??!

I am bored of these luvvy fests now and pissed off they didn't show call the midwife which is much more entertaining.

TV programme had Alison Hammond. Most of the BBC1
programme wasn't live and was edited, so not the full goings on. They went live towards the end, the last 3 or 4 awards.

You watched last year's by mistake.

Yup, last year! Did you not notice that all the awards were going to old movies?!

Gah!!!! This makes so much more sense!! I did notice there were awards for last year but I wondered if last years was cancelled due to covid or something and so this was covering two years worth.

So weird as it was on the home page of iPlayer and asked me if I wanted to 'watch from the start' so I assumed it was the live one on bbc1 just from the beginning
