I’ve stopped smoking and gone off my favourite drinks

I’m on week 2 yay for me) after 30 years of pretty much 20 a day (peaks and troughs and periods of giving up). Pretty sure this time is it; something has clicked.

BUT. I have always been a NZ Savvy B (😅) drinker. And tonight’s tasted like cat piss. So I switched to a G&T. Tasted like chewing a twig.

I think my taste buds have started working and all the strong tasting things I thought I liked were a lie. I love gin and tonic, like seriously love it but it just tastes like wood.

I need to buy a jar of cockles or something to check but I think I’m broken.

Omg what if I’ve gone off chocolate or coffee? It’s too late in the evening to try either but that is basically my entire life down the pan. I’m coffee and chocolate all day until it’s acceptable to drink wine or gin.

Oh my god amazing-well done you-that is seriously impressive! Shite that your drinks taste crap, but think of the fun you can have trying out lots of new alcohol to discover your new favourite!
