Any hairdressers here - hair towels?

I am on a journey to take better care of my hair. Over the past year I was using microfiber hair towels after washing my hair to help dry my hair. Lately I changed to using tshirts because tshirts are smoother.

I got my hair done yesterday. It was a wash, cut and blow dry. I noticed at the hairdressers, after the wash, an ordinary cotton towel was used to soak up the water after the wash and to wrap my hair in. This type of hair is supposed to not be very great for the hair. I know at the hairdressers it's only really a once off, once every few months so it probably wouldn't cause much breakage or damage as a once off once in a while.

I am just thinking, when it comes to my next trim at the hairdressers, would it be allowed if I was to take my own hair towel or tshirt and ask them to use that instead of their own towels. Would that be allowed or not allowed?

I want to mind my hair as much as possible.

They don’t rub the hair with the towel though, it’s just used to blot. I can’t see how that would damage your hair?
