Anyone been recently?

Can you share current prices for
Adult bike for a week
Golf driving range adult price
Gym access
Cabana for 4
Aqua sana twilight session
Aqua sana day session
Aqua sana approx hour treatment cost

Do you still have to book swimming pool slots?

Wondering whether to book there for a lake district holiday so we have access to stuff even though we don't have any children this time it's all adults.

Oh, and for long term mumsnetters, the lube is packed! Lol

Or, I guess, other Lake District recommendations. We are all drivers.

The prices are on their website:

www.centerparcs.co.uk/discover-center-parcs/activities/example-activity-prices/whinfell-forest-pricing-guide.html

Keswick has some nice cafes/restaurants. Plus a street market. Lots of hiking if you’re into that.

We went last month and they weren't doing twilight spa sessions. I think an afternoon in the spa (3hrs) cost us around £50 each. A 25 minute massage cost around £60.

We didn't need to book to use the swimming pool.

@Poblano

Thanks. Did you enjoy your stay? We've only ever been to Longleat before.

@Escapingmadness yes we did. We've been there a couple of times before, but always in the summer. We've also been to Longleat and Sherwood several times over the years (we've been going since 2002).

I like Whinfell because it's small so it doesn't take long to get from one place to another. The lake is lovely - my daily highlight was getting up early and going to a yoga or pilates class then walking to the Starbucks by the lake for a coffee.

@Poblano
Is this at Whinfell? I am going there next week and it says online they don't have yoga there ?

Poblano · 19/02/2023 17:39

I did both yoga and pilates there at the beginning of January. Maybe they don't run it all the time?

emmathedilemma · 19/02/2023 17:40

I wouldn’t bother with the cabana, it was a waste of money IMO and so hot we didn’t want to sit in it.

There's a twilight spa listed on the aqua sana website and I had one at Sherwood Forest last month, but I'm not sure I'd both tbh. Full of big groups hogging the hot tubs and being loud, so not very relaxing.

Thanks everyone

It's hard to.know what to do!

Cottage and do hikes and maybe a hotel spa one day or hit CP for all the add ons and become a kid again in the pool!

Thanks for the heads up on the cabana.

£60 for a 25minute massage?!? Ouch!! I pay £60 for a 55min sports massage at home and I thought that was expensive!
I’d for a cottage near one of the villages so you can walk to nice places to eat and drink.

Escapingmadness · 20/02/2023 09:58

CP are always more £££ for the convenience of close by and they do spas well. I've never been to a better one than Longleat.

I ought to toss a coin. Maybe we do.mid week CP and a short break weekend in a cottage! Talk about sitting on a fence 😆

Tbf Whinfell is a bit more downmarket than Longleat...😔 just not as nice.
