Interested in knowing how other couples / families organise their mornings to include exercise.
We only have 1DC, a 2.5 year old. We take it in turns to get them ready while the other one showers and gets dressed. We each take around 30-45 minutes.
Then one of us walks DC to nursery depending on who is working where (sometimes wfh sometimes commute).
I used to do yoga, mediation and exercise before I started my day but have struggled to do this ever since having DC. Sometimes I squeeze it in after the nursery run at around 9am but normally I have to start work immediately.
We live in a beautiful area so I've also considered walking outside first thing.
I know the obvious answer is get up before DC but our DC wakes up early enough for me and I value my sleep (which has been dreadful last 2.5 years) too much to do that!
I also crave doing exercise in the mornings rather than evenings. It suits my metabolism, sets me up for the day and I'm far too shattered by the time my toddler is asleep.
Has anyone successfully integrated exercise into their mornings with young kids or is this a pipe dream until they are older?
