What a nice birth!

Absolutely brilliant! Would have loved that for my DCs when they were little.

It’s really cute but it’s crocheted not knitted and there’s no mention of the original designer in that video. It’s a pattern by Laura Sutcliffe.

Hideous IMHO. Kids young enough for knitted toys don't need that much info. I'm pretty 'crunchy' too. (Veggie, plastic free extended BF'er, Pilates and Yoga)

Maybe you should give yoga a try… you seem a little tense

You're crunchy?!

TreacleMcDoo · 19/02/2023 10:56

I love these. I think children should know how babies are born, it isn't graphic there isn't an episiotomy tear or it pooing in labour.

My children had Mummy Laid an Egg from a young age which shows a baby coming out from in between the crayon drawn woman's legs, YouTube video of the book is easy to find. As someone with endometriosis my sons are all too aware of the menstrual cycle anyway.

’crunchy’ give over, and give yourself a talking to.

Is there an older cut off age by which children must stop playing with knitted toys?

Em that's a crochet doll that I will not be making. Be useful for maternity units with people who have English as a second language

Patienceisntvirtuous · 20/02/2023 16:52

@SpringSparrow sorry! I've no idea why I put knitted, can only blame tiredness-of course they crocheted. I agree the person who created the pattern should have definitely be being promoted too.

@Zonder I wondered that too-these sorts of items are suitable for most ages I'd have thought!

I love the details, the baby's dummies and press-stud mouths :)
