I have a degree in Biology and work for a pharmaceutical company in the marketing department. I never thought I'd have an office job let alone a job in marketing, and a few years into it I'm realising how unhappy I am there. Some of the reasons are specific to my company, but most importantly is the values mismatch. I don't feel like what I'm doing is making a difference or having a positive impact. I also find the office culture difficult, and have never really felt settled.
I'm not sure what to do next though. Does anyone have any advice on how to figure out next steps? I'm in my late 20s so still young, but equally want to be more settled in my career rather than jumping around different entry-level jobs. I've considering working in labs but that is very poorly paid (would cut my salary by nearly a third), or even training to become a nurse.
