Injured my finger about a month ago (caught it sideways, and it swelled up) Thought it was getting better, but have since caught it again just in day to day use. It's still swollen and the tip bends to the side. Also have a stinging sensation lower down my hand sometimes.

I think I've either got a mallet injury, possibly chipped a bone from descriptions online, which suggest splinting/ossible x-ray

Would minor injuries unit be the best place to go?

Yes, that seems appropriate. Go to one with access to an X-ray machine in case it’s needed (and a weekday if possible).
And stop bending your finger in ways it shouldn’t, that’s not helping.

@BouncingWorms thanks for replying! I'm hoping to go tomorrow during the day, anticipating it may be less busy.

And yes, I need to watch getting it bent the wrong way.😂 It's mostly doing small things (washing up etc), and just catching the tip
