Any one else suffer from this horrific condition?

I am sat here feeling sorry for myself, my tummy and intestines are burning and I can't get comfortable.

I have a hernia and ulcers which has caused this and am medication for this. Sigh, any tips to ease this?

Which medication are you on?
I'm on lansoprazole.
The only way I can control it though is with diet. No coffee, tea, alcohol, spicy food, onions, garlic, citrus fruits, chocolate....
I can cheat for a day or 2 but the symptoms come back and it takes ages to get back under control.

I am on the same medicine. If you don't mind me asking, what do you typically eat if you've eliminated all of that? It's a miserable life at the moment, I don't have to eat anything and it's triggered. My rennie and gaviscon habit is expensive! 😝

I know what you mean about rennie/gaviscon. Gaviscon advance is the strongest one available but the cost is extortionate. I paid £12 for a bottle the other day. Its far better than normal gaviscon though.

Meal wise I generally have either porridge or scrambled eggs/omelette for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, usually meat such as chicken or fish with rice/noodles/pasta and vegetables.
I try to not eat too much gluten as it can flare my IBS, which then triggers the acid.
