Child benefit stopped without notice

I've just been checking my bank, and was concerned that I had even less money than I thought. Went through transactions and CB last paid 23rd Dec. I have 2 primary aged children. Work part time.

Why could this have happened? I haven't had any letters to respond to, they live with me full time, they're 6 and 7...I'm missing nearly £300 😔

Call them tomorrow and ask them. If there’s been a mistake it will be back dated 😊

This happened to me recently. When I queried it via telephone they said that another branch of HMRC had requested the change, but the call handler didn't seem to know why. In any case it was reinstated a few days later.

Seems they're not open til Monday. Nothings changed at all.

@AuntieEntity did they make up the missed payment?

@Stickytoastandhoney Nope, I had a payment in February and that was it. I'm still bloody cross.
