Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've just sat down with my first cuppa of the day. Everyone's still sleeping so it's silent apart from the fridge humming away to itself. Just how I like it first thing!

We're off for a couple of things for my Rainbows and Guides today, from The Works at a local shopping outlet, then a wander round the lake to get to the bus stops on the other side. We'll probably keep going and get the bus into town from near-ish to Asda, so we can stock up on fruit at the market and look for a fairly cheap pair of school shoes for dd1. I don't want to spend loads atm, if I can avoid it.

When we get in, I want to continue with crochet broccoli's florets. He's to go with other Supertato props on display at work.

Dd2 will probably spend forever on call to her friends, and dd1 wants to do some more revision for her upcoming mock GCSEs.

I have no idea what's for tea yet - the freezer's starting to look a bit bare. I'll look before we head out. Should be something everyone likes left in there I think.

This evening will likely be more broccoli for me - I want to make his florets nice and puffy!

I have been to the garden centre and got some pots with 50% off and 2 new roses 🌹 which I’ve now planted.

No real plans today! Dh is washing my car and I’m just sat chilling, I do have some bits coming from Amazon in a bit.

Am decorating my bathroom at the moment. Almost done, just need to do the final coat on the floorboards. Gone from jet black to a dusky pink, not to everyone’s taste, but I love it!

Was looking forward to finishing it all off with new towels that should have arrived yesterday. Yet again, Evri have not delivered my package! So got to wait until who knows when.

Have had a new diamond painting kit arrive, so will probably make a start on that later.

Will have a video call with my sister and BIL early evening. Followed by chilli beef nachos and whatever I can find on tv that’s decent.

Feeling rubbish today. Full of a stinking cold, never had a headache like it so it's a sofa day, dose myself up and a catch up on some sleep.
DS2 is revising for A level mocks and then off out to work tonight. DH is watching football.
BIL, SIL and nephew are calling in later on the way back passing from a uni open day. Was going to prepare a meal for everyone but that's out the window, anyone hungry will have to get a takeaway.

DH is out today so I'm just chilling at home with the kids. I go back to work Monday after a week off so trying to enjoy the last few days of calm as work is insane!!

I did pop to Aldi for a few bits, now just watching TV and contemplating a nap.

Hello to you, @lucysmam! Have the dreaded job of trying to buy something suitable for a work conference on Monday - should not have left it to the last minute!

I had expected to be stuck into cleaning the house and sorting the freezer (including batch cooking to have meals for Dh and I midweek). And having a nice dinner that I like in peace and a long hot bath to ease aching bones, and no barking dog until late tomorrow.

But Dd decided not to go to DMIL with DH, so both herself and DDog are still here as a result, and I am stuck driving a sulky, grumpy and disrespectful girl for lunch, food shopping and to the gym, with an expectation that I will bring her from gym to a meeting later this afternoon.

DH dropped ds1 to his cubs sleepover before he went to work so just me and ds2 today. Took him to do the food shop and we are now sat in a pub restaurant waiting for our lunch. Ds2 is playing with a toy caterpillar while asking every 2 seconds when will his lunch arrive. When we get home he will entertain himself while I get on with some chores around the house and get us all ready to return to school/work on Monday.
